The Old World - Warriors & Heroes - Complete Online Rule Book

The Bestiary contains information for all encounters in the Old World. Each section will have a brief explanation of the associated faction for each enemy type followed by a statistic listing for specific units. Enemy units do not follow the exact same rules as players. Where players have individual skills for every occasion, enemy units only have core values for each attribute. All roles regarding skills will be based on these values instead of individual skills.

For example: When an enemy wishes to roll and attack they do not use fighting or shooting skill. It is assumed that an enemy with a ranged weapon knows how to use it, and likewise an enemy with a melee weapon. So instead they will roll Agility since this is the parent attribute for both these skills.
Relentless: Some powerful enemies have a trait called relentless. These enemies don’t draw initiative. They take a single-turn action after each player’s turn. Status effects that apply damage over time should be applied at the beginning of their first action each round.
Any modifiers to these rolls will be based on the unique skills of that unit’s card. This will also apply to things like stealth and notice. This simplifies both the creation of new unit types and the use of existing units. For ease of use, refer to the skill quick reference chart for any required roll information. Like players, all rolls for the enemy units are D20 based with appropriate modifiers.
